Caldera Blanca
Lanzarote , 458 m – visited April 2010.
When leaving the road and after driving offroad for a couple of minutes, we reach the start of the walk through the black lava sea which is leading us to the crater of the Caldera Blanca.
This is a surreal environment and nothing like I have seen before. Without a path it would even be impossible to reach the Caldera Blanca.
And it only gets better when you reach the volcano, you can climb to the crater rim and walk around it for about an hour of splendid views of the crater and the surrounding volcanoes. An unforgettable experience.
