The Black Cuillin Mountains

The Black Cuillins seen from Portree

The Black Cuillins

Isle of Skye, Scotland – visited september 2010

Most of the time the Black Cuillins were hiding in the mist when I was in Portree.  Luckily on the last evening we could still enjoy them and take some pictures.  Highest hills of Skye, pretty difficult , remote and sometimes dangerous hikes possible into this mountains.

Also have seen the Red Cuillins during the ferry boat trip from Armadale to Maillaig, a shortish half an hour trip, but truly amazing and worth every minute of it !  From Maillaig we have taken the train to Fort William, the train station is next to the ferry port.
